i can be the alice to your wonderland

everyone seems to be getting the alice bug, stella maccartny is doing a necklace and bracelet combo inspired by alice and printemps is doing bespoke designer windows in fashion week with an alice theme - no doubt there will be tea cups and eat me signs. urban decay have also caught on with this make up set with colours including midnight tea party -- looks pretty snazzy to me! (although id never use half the colours in these things)

(urban decay out 15th january)

i must admit that i never thought tim burton would be such a fashion inspiration - im looking forward to this 3d drug hallucination though...

although olds school disney has the magic that new ones just don't - agreed?

louise goldin 4 topshop

i am well aware the blogs are going to be awash with these pictures (edit: after i posted this both stylebubble and coco's tea party has done likewise!)- especially as her majesty Vogue has just announced this collection themselves but its so good i though i had to mention it. i'm not normally a fan of high street designer collaborations i have to admit (with the exception of perhaps christopher kane for topshop) as they tend to just be cheapy copies that are over priced or i am bitter as i never seem to be able to get hold of any.

however these louise goldin for topshop spring/summer shoes are quite something...

(both £150 topshop - due for release 5th february 2010 here in the uk)

not only are they stylish but they would be really good for self defense don't you think? i must admit i wasn't expecting to see so much stud action into spring summer but it looks like goth chic is here to stay and i suppose this is a fairly ladylike way to do it!

and they even live up to the show versions - what do you think?

due for release 5th february 2010

the king has left the building..

..and his granddaughter has walked in!

On what would have been Elvis's 75th birthday I thought seeing as there is no escaping it, i should do a post on it. i'm sure no matter how sad it is we are probably all a little fed up of adverts for various compilation CDs of "all elvis's hits EVER" so instead i thought i would focus on the presely legacy instead....riley keough - model, new face of mango alongside daisy lowe, and elvis's grandaughter.

and she looks good - there is definitely a family resemblance

i wish my relatives were a bit cooler...

happy birthday elvis

there's snow place like home..

yes you've guessed it - more snow. i do think its amazing how the whole country can come to a stand still when some places have weather like this for months of the years, although i am not complaining as i have no school! instead i can waste time not revising and watching this morning. (a 57 year old who has had surgery to look like jessica rabbit today - nice).

anyway today i was thinking about what shoes to wear in the snow - ballet pumps no, leather boots not really and wellies aren't the most stylish option (unless they are the jimmy choo hunters i guess..) but then i remembered moon boots! i spent all my pre-teen ski holidays lusting after these monstrosities and would still love to have a pair - just for these rare moments when it snows! if they are classy enough for dior they are classy enough for me....

(yes so this might be paris hilton...but she does have warm feet.)

so is the moon boot coming back? are we going to look like the jetsons soon? i hope so.
